Hiii!
I just wanted to remind everyone that as we near Pride month to be careful where you are purchasing your rainbow merch and ally tees. Many of the corporations that pull out the ally flag and rainbow themselves up for the month of June actually donate to politicians that actively support bills and legislation that seek to remove rights from the LGBTQIA+ community. While yes, we want you to support us (in June...but all the time really) we would love if you instead purchased at a small business owned by a member of the community.
By purchasing an LGBTQIA+ shirt from a member of the community you will be actually supporting the community directly rather than a soulless corporation that does not care about us. We also often donate to organizations that actively work to help the LGBTQIA+ community.
My charity for the month of June is The Trevor Project. I have been a volunteer with them and worked with them on several occasions, so that's the charity we will be donating to for the month of June. There are a ton of really great charities, but please when you choose one make sure to research them to see if they're really do all the great work they claim to be doing! It's so sad, but so many charities claim to do amazing things and yet the actual community that they are helping never really sees the benefits of all the "work".
Anyway, I have one collection 'Equestrians for Equality' that is only available from May 27th through the end of June. If you'd like to read why this is so important please look at the USEF website regarding diversity in the equestrian world.
I am proudly bisexual. I have a pinned video on my tiktok (www.tiktok.com/@clotheslineapparelco) where people are tagging businesses owned by members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Go check it out! And do a little shopping! ;)
Love y'all! XOXO!
